Gary Mitchell is a highly experienced medical professional serving as the Team Physician for Rugby Australia’s Wallabies since January 2016. In addition to this role, Gary Mitchell holds the position of Senior Lecturer at The University of Queensland since July 2018 and works as an Emergency Medicine Physician with Queensland Health since December 2016. Gary Mitchell also provides medical services to the Queensland Reds and has been associated with the Fiji Rugby Union as Team Physician from July 2023 to July 2024. From September 2020 to July 2024, Gary Mitchell is involved with the Jamieson Trauma Institute in a clinical capacity. Gary Mitchell earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in Medicine from Queen's University Belfast.
