Professor Kerrie Wilson

Queensland Chief Scientist at Queensland Government

Professor Kerrie Wilson currently serves as the Queensland Chief Scientist for the Queensland Government, a position held since November 2023. An affiliated professor at The University of Copenhagen since 2016, Kerrie Wilson has previously held significant roles at Queensland University of Technology as Pro Vice-Chancellor for Sustainability and Research Integrity from January 2021 to November 2023, and at The University of Queensland, where responsibilities included Professor, Director of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Environmental Decisions, and ARC Future Fellow from July 2008 to January 2019. Additionally, Kerrie Wilson was Director of Conservation at The Nature Conservancy from July 2007 to July 2008 and a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at The University of Queensland from January 2004 to July 2007. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Science from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Applied Science with Honors from The University of Queensland.
