Dmitriy Gremyachinskiy has extensive work experience in the field of chemistry. Dmitriy is currently employed at Quantum-Si as the Director of Chemistry since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Illumina as a Senior Manager from December 2018 to December 2021, where they led the development of chemistry processes for nucleic acids and solved chemistry-related manufacturing problems. Before Illumina, they were the Director of R&D, Chemistry at Nautilus Biotechnology from June 2017 to January 2019. At Roche, they served as a Research Leader, Chemistry from August 2014 to June 2017, where they led a team in the development of nanopore DNA sequencing technology and designed novel nucleic acids. Dmitriy also has experience working at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Senior Staff Scientist from October 2013 to August 2014, and as a Staff Scientist from September 2010 to October 2013. Dmitriy worked at Life Technologies as a Staff Scientist from July 2009 to October 2010, and as a Scientist from July 2008 to July 2009. Prior to this, they were a Research Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill from July 2004 to July 2008. Dmitriy began their career as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at The Scripps Research Institute from May 2002 to May 2004 and worked as a Research Associate II at Chiron Corporation from May 1999 to October 2000.
Dmitriy Gremyachinskiy completed their education in a chronological manner. Dmitriy obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology from Lomonosov Moscow State Academy of Fine Chemical Technology (MITHT) between 1992 and 1997. Following this, they pursued a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of the Pacific from 1997 to 2002.
