Dr. Diniz is a co-founder of Quantum Semiconductor. Previously, Dr. Diniz was a full-time Research Assistant Professor with the Computer Science Department at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California and a Research Associate at USC's Information Sciences Institute (ISI). He has been active in the research and development of high-performance computing, compilers, and more recently, resilient computing. He is also engaged with the academic and research communities, serving on numerous technical program committees and grant review panels for the National Science Foundation (NSF) and Department of Energy (DOE). Currently, Dr. Diniz serves as a technical consultant to Quantum Semiconductor.
Pedro holds a BSc. and a MSc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico, Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal, and Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of California at Santa Barbara where he was a Fulbright Scholar. He has authored or co-authored over 30 scientific publications, co-authored 5 patents, and edited 3 books.
