Morten Kirkelund has extensive work experience in engineering and management roles. Morten currently works as the Director of Engineering at Quantum Machines since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked at HBK - Hottinger Brüel & Kjær as the Ops Director and Site Manager from May 2022 to January 2023. Morten also held various positions at HBK, including Head of Sensors from June 2020 to May 2022 and Head of Vibration Transducers from August 2018 to June 2020. Morten worked as an Executive Director and member of the Board at HBK - Hottinger Brüel & Kjær A/S from May 2022 to January 2023.
Before joining HBK, Morten Kirkelund worked at Brüel & Kjær Sound & Vibration Measurement A/S as a Senior Manager - Vibration Transducers from January 2010 to June 2020. Morten started their career as an R&D Engineer at Brüel & Kjær and later worked as an R&D Engineer - Analog designer at Brüel and Kjær - sound and vibration. Additionally, they served as a Teacher at DTU, where they taught the Hybrid Electronics course for a brief period in 2006.
Outside of their engineering career, Morten Kirkelund had leadership roles as the Formand at Scenelys from 2003 to 2006 and at Polyteknisk Scenelys from 2002 to 2005.
Morten Kirkelund completed their education in a sequential order. Morten first attended the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) from 2000 to 2006, where they obtained a degree in Electronics. Following this, from 2011 to 2012, Morten pursued a degree in Systemic Project Management from Attractor. Subsequently, they enrolled at Henley Business School - Danmark, where they completed an Executive MBA program from 2016 to 2019.
