Max (Mingdong) Xu has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of telemetry, signal processing, algorithm engineering, software development, and research. Max (Mingdong) started their career as a Research and Development Engineer at HUBER+SUHNER, where they simulated and analyzed mm-wave telecommunication systems. Later, they worked as a Visiting Researcher at Technische Universität Dresden, where they proposed novel data sequences and analyzed the performance of Bluetooth terminals. Max then joined the University of Calgary as a Research Assistant and later as a Post Doctorate Fellow, where they developed data fusion algorithms for sensor networks and proposed statistical models to reduce power consumption. During their time there, they published multiple research papers in prestigious journals. Max (Mingdong) then worked at Evolution Engineering as an Algorithm Engineer and Software Developer, followed by a self-employment period as an Algorithm and Machine Learning Engineer, and Software Developer. Max (Mingdong)'sresponsibilities involved designing and implementing algorithms and machine learning models. More recently, Max joined U-Target Energy as an Algorithm, Software, and Firmware Engineer, contributing to the development of algorithms and software. Currently, they are working at Quantum Energy Technologies as a Telemetry and Signal Processing Manager.
Max (Mingdong) Xu obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Civil Aviation University of China between 1989 and 1993. Max (Mingdong) then pursued a Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Gävle from 2003 to 2005. Max continued their education at the University of Calgary, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2006 to 2010.
