Santiago Corujeira Gallo has a diverse work experience in the field of materials engineering and research. Santiago currently holds a position as a Senior Materials Engineer at Quantum Brilliance, where they contribute to the growth of quantum diamonds using plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (CVD) techniques. Santiago also collaborates with research teams from RMIT and La Trobe University on an ARC Linkage project.

Before their current role, Santiago worked at Deakin University, where they held multiple positions. As an Honorary Research Fellow, they continue to contribute to the university's research activities. Santiago Corujeira Gallo completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, which lasted from 1997 to 2004. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further academic achievements by enrolling in the University of Birmingham from 2005 to 2009. During this time, Santiago obtained their PhD in Metallurgy and Materials.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Santiago achieved certifications that have contributed to their professional experience. Santiago became a Chartered Engineer in June 2015 through the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. Santiago also obtained the certification of Professional Engineer (skill level 1) from Engineers Australia in February 2014.
