Nicklaus Smith's work experience includes:

1. Field Application Engineer at Quantifi Photonics (2021-present): Nicklaus provides technical support to customers using optical test systems and advises on technical requirements for pre-sales opportunities. Nicklaus also builds demonstration systems for trade shows and partner companies.

2. V&V Engineer at NI (National Instruments) (2017-2021): Nicklaus wrote code to automate testing of in-development products, reducing development time. Nicklaus logged data in a schema compatible with in-house data visualization tools for quality decisions.

3. Product Support Engineer at NI (National Instruments) (2019-2021): Nicklaus ensured supportability of C Series Controllers Hardware, provided second-line support for critical issues, and facilitated knowledge transfer between R&D and customer support.

4. Technical Support Engineer at NI (National Instruments) (2017-2019): Nicklaus provided technical support to customers using NI's Automated Test products, including hardware and software support.

5. Instructor at iD Tech Camps (2016): Nicklaus taught programming courses in Java, C++, Minecraft, and Tynker to teenage and preteen students. Nicklaus also customized lesson plans and maintained a fun and safe environment at camp.

Nicklaus Smith attended Colorado School of Mines from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Physics with a minor in Music Technology.
