Philip Kim, CFA has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Philip is currently the Co-Founder & CEO of Quantflo, a VC-backed quantitative investment platform that focuses on empowering institutional fund-of-fund investors. Philip's role at Quantflo involves re-inventing modeling and workflows to enhance investment outcomes. Philip also participated in the Antler Australia accelerator program as an entrepreneur and co-founded Quantflo as part of Antler's sixth cohort.
Prior to their current role, Philip worked at Suncorp Group as a Manager, Liquidity & Markets, where they provided investment advice for approximately $20 billion in assets. Philip also has experience at Cambridge Associates, a consultancy firm, where they served as an Associate Investment Director. Their responsibilities included quantitative modeling, portfolio construction, manager research, and client engagement.
Philip's earlier work experience includes a role as an Associate at Macquarie Group and a Summer Clerk position at Sol-Law Lawyers Solomon Islands. These experiences, combined with their current role as CEO of Quantflo, demonstrate their expertise in the finance industry and their ability to take on leadership roles.
Philip Kim, CFA holds a Bachelor of Commerce & Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Sydney, where they completed a combined program (B.Com/LL.B.). Prior to attending the University of Sydney, Philip attended Sydney Technical High School. In addition to their formal education, Philip has obtained several certifications, including Advanced Portfolio Construction and Analysis with Python from Coursera in October 2021, Introduction to Git & Github from Google in August 2021, and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in August 2019.
