Travis Oliphant's work experience includes several important roles in the technology industry. Travis is currently the Chief Executive Officer of OpenTeams, a position they have held since July 2019.
Prior to this, they served as the Chief Executive Officer of Quansight, a services firm specializing in Open Source Software (OSS) and applying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to data analysis. Travis held this role from January 2018.
Oliphant also worked as a Partner at Quansight Initiate starting in July 2019.
In addition to these positions, they have worked as a Strategic Advisor at bodo.ai and Saturn Cloud from February 2021 and June 2019, respectively.

Oliphant also has experience as the Founder and Chairman of the Board at NumFOCUS from 2012 to 2014.
Before their roles in the tech industry, Oliphant worked as President and Vice President at Enthought from 2007 to 2012.
Travis was also an Assistant Professor at Brigham Young University from 2000 to 2007, where they taught courses in various subjects and was involved in research projects.
Travis Oliphant obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Brigham Young University from 1992 to 1995. Travis then pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Brigham Young University, completing it in 1996. Continuing their education, Travis Oliphant enrolled at Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in 1996, where they earned their Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering in 2001.
