Thor Shellum is an experienced bicycle engineer currently working at Surly Bikes since March 2009 and also serving as a product design engineer at Quality Bicycle Products since May 2008, where responsibilities include supervising the Product Development group's engineers. Prior experience includes working as a mechanical engineering consultant at RFA Minnesota Engineering from 2006 to 2008, specializing in heavy machinery design, 3D computer modeling, GD&T, and FEA, and engineering roles at Kromer Co. LLC from 2004 to 2006. Thor Shellum holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, obtained in 2004.
