Val Chiche-Lapierre, PhD, is a Junior Cryptographer at QPQ since June 2022, bringing previous experience as a Security Engineer at Scotiabank from September 2021 to June 2022, where responsibilities included managing cryptographic artifacts and providing 24/7 support for Vault users. Prior to this, Val served as a Security Engineer at Infobase Solutions and held several academic roles at the University of Toronto, including Course Instructor for Linear Algebra and Calculus, and Teaching Assistant for various mathematics courses. Val’s educational background includes a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Toronto, alongside a Master's and Bachelor's degree from Concordia University, specializing in Number Theory, Algebra, and a minor in Computer Science.
