Gernot Fattinger is an experienced technology executive with extensive expertise in Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW) research and development. Currently serving as Vice President of Technology at Qorvo, Inc. since December 2014, Gernot has held various leadership roles, including Senior Director of Global EDA and BAW R&D, where responsibilities encompassed strategic R&D direction, product and technology development, and collaboration with external foundries. Previously, Gernot worked at TriQuint Semiconductor from April 2006 to March 2019, progressing through positions such as Director of BAW R&D and R&D Manager, focusing on similar technological advancements and team leadership. Gernot began a career in BAW R&D as an engineer at Infineon Technologies from 2003 to 2006. Academically, Gernot holds a PhD in Physics, specializing in Semiconductor Physics from Johannes Kepler Universität Linz and an Ing. degree in Communications and Electrical Engineering from HTL Leonding.
