Sebastian Wouters is a Senior R&D Software Engineer and European Patent Attorney at Qonic since November 2021, and previously held similar roles at Bricsys® from January 2020 to October 2021 and at brantsandpatents from September 2016 to November 2019. With a strong academic background, Sebastian completed a Ph.D. in Physics at Ghent University, focusing on density matrix renormalization group applications in ab initio quantum chemistry, and has served as a postdoctoral fellow at Princeton University and Ghent University. Additional experience includes teaching exercises in Quantum Mechanics and Theoretical Mechanics, as well as multiple internships at renowned institutions, contributing to expertise in both research and patenting in the field of physics and software engineering.
