A hands-on executive with vast experience in multiple facets of the mobile and payments industry, Darren has designed and delivered high-impact technical systems, products and applications throughout his entire career. Leveraging his 20 years of expertise, Darren sought a more meaningful way to serve the payments industry and address legacy issues companies currently face.

Prior to Qolo, Darren was a founder of multiple startups, and has led payments and fintech efforts for industry leaders such as FIS, Blackhawk Network and PayActiv.

He was a NASA Space Shuttle engineer and is also an accomplished science fiction and non-fiction author. Darren received his BS in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech.
