Tim Peeters has worked in various roles in the software engineering and development industry since 2010. In 2010, they worked as a Scientific Software Developer at Eindhoven University of Technology, where they designed and implemented a VTK and Qt-based software framework called DTITool3 for medical visualization. In 2011, they worked as a Technical Software Designer at TASS Technology Solutions, and as a Software Designer at ASML. From 2012 to 2016, they worked at Canonical Ltd. as a Software Developer, where they designed and implemented a new Qt-based software development kit and UI toolkit. Since 2016, they have been employed at QMENTA Inc., first as a Senior Software Engineer, then as a Product Team Lead, and currently as the Director of Engineering. In this role, they build an engineering team and creates and maintains products that help further QMENTA's vision of preventing and curing brain diseases. Tim is also responsible for aligning the priorities of the development team with business requirements, detailed planning of features, and automation of testing and release processes.
Tim Peeters obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology in 2009. Tim had previously obtained their Master of Science (M.Sc.) from the same institution in 2003, having studied Computer Science, Mathematics, Applied Sciences, and Social Sciences.
