Pei - Yi Yap has extensive experience in biomedical research, currently serving as a Research Assistant at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute since February 2012. Previously, Pei - Yi Yap worked as a Masters Research Student at Mater Medical Research Institute, focusing on the role of Nesfatin-1/NUCB2, and conducted research at MD Anderson Cancer Center on microRNA-200 targets in lung adenocarcinoma. The research background includes proficiency in techniques such as RNA extraction, real-time PCR, protein purification, and various cellular assays. Pei - Yi Yap holds an Advanced Master's Degree in Biotechnology from The University of Queensland and a B.S. in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University.
