Khoa Tran is a highly skilled researcher specializing in biomedical machine learning, currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute since March 2020. Khoa's PhD thesis focused on exploring the tumour microenvironment through multi-modal machine learning techniques, with interests in explainability, immunotherapy, and survival analysis. Prior professional experiences include roles as a Machine Learning Engineer and Researcher at Max Kelsen, where Khoa developed advanced neural network architectures for cancer detection, as well as experience at Maxwell Plus and SiteSee in AI engineering and DevOps roles. Khoa holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Deep Learning in Precision Oncology from Queensland University of Technology, along with a Master's degree in Information Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Science from the University of Queensland.
