Paul Macomber is an experienced manager in product and assay development, currently overseeing a team of seven scientists at QIAGEN since June 2015, focusing on the lifecycle management of various diagnostic tests. Previously, Paul held managerial positions at Wellstat Diagnostics, where responsibilities included managing research on diagnostic tests for infectious diseases, and authoring grants, and at BioVeris Corporation, leading the development of biodefense detection assays. Other notable roles include serving as Senior Scientist at Digene Corporation, where coordination of core diagnostic test development was achieved, and as Manager of the Cardiovascular Disease Research Products Laboratory at Intracel Corp. Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Virginia.
