Jonatan Fernández Hée

Head Of Software & Controls Vehicle Engineering at QEV Technologies

Jonatan Fernández Hée has worked in the automotive and motorsport industry since 2006. Jonatan began as an Automotive Mechanic for different companies, including GAM Vilatel, Professional Car and Norauto SA. In 2015, they worked as an Automotive Project Manager for Tenneco, and as a Mechanical Lab Assistant for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. In 2017, they became a Vehicle Dynamics Controls Engineer for Roborace. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Freelance LMP2 Race Engineer and Systems Engineer for United Autosports. Since 2018, they have been the Head of Software & Controls Engineering and a Software & Controls Motorsport Engineer for QEV Technologies, where they are responsible for Battery Control Unit Software development, Powertrain and Chassis systems embedded software development, Performance data analysis, and Extreme E Trackside Engineer for Hispano Suiza. Jonatan is also a Professor at the QEV Motorsport Engineering Master, and at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, where they teach seminars focused on racing data analysis, performance and control systems.

Jonatan Fernández Hée began their education in 2009, when they earned a High National certificate from the Universidad Laboral De Tarragona in the field of Automotive. From 2011 to 2015, they attended the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, where they earned a Mechanical Engineering Degree. In 2013 and 2014, they attended the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC) and earned a Mechanical Engineering degree. In 2015, they attended the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and earned a Mechanical Engineering Degree with a focus on Complex biomechanical system modelling & simulation. Finally, they attended Oxford Brookes University and earned a Motorsport Engineering MSc with a focus on Motorsport - Automotive - Vehicle Dynamics.
