Mike received a B.S. in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego. Mike has received several awards for his academic and research pursuits, including a prestigious predoctoral fellowship from the National Science Foundation for his graduate work in synthetic biology and the innovation of novel microfluidic platforms. He has invaluable knowledge in a broad range of subjects ranging from molecular biology to civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering.
