Adam joined Qatalyst in June of 2015 and heads up the Semiconductor and Semiconductor Equipment Group. Adam has 21 years of strategic advisory and capital raising experience in the global technology industry. Prior to joining Qatalyst, Adam was at Deutsche Bank for 11 years where he was most recently Head of Semiconductor Investment Banking. Prior to that, Adam was in the Equity Capital Markets group at Bank of America, and before that was in the Mergers and Acquisitions group at Robertson Stephens. Adam has completed over 100 transactions across various corporate finance and advisory disciplines totaling greater than $150 billion in transaction value. He has advised on several landmark transactions in the semiconductor sector, including NXP on its $48.4B terminated sale to Qualcomm, Linear Technology on its $14.8B sale to Analog Devices, Microsemi on its $10.2B sale to Microchip, and Cavium on its $6.4B sale to Marvell; and previously advised Ansoft on its $900MM sale to ANSYS, Atlas Copco on its $1.6B acquisition of Edwards, Atmel on its 3.6B sale to Microchip, Hittite on its $2.5B sale to Analog Devices, InvenSense on its $1.3B sale to TDK, NuCore on its sale to MediaTek, Peregrine Semiconductor on its $470MM sale to Murata, Qualcomm on its $2.5B acquisition of CSR, Quantenna on its $1.1B sale to ON Semiconductor and SEZ on its $570MM sale to Lam Research. He has also advised on financings for Ambarella, Atheros, ASML, Cadence, CDW, Fairchild, Novellus, ON Semiconductor, Peregrine, Qualcomm and Xilinx.
Adam also has extensive experience with non-profit and foundation work. He has served on the Board of Directors of Summer Search in the Bay Area, on the Advisory Board and Audit Committee of Shepherd’s Gate, and has actively worked with nine non-profits and foundations over the past 25 years. Adam has an MBA from UCLA, and a BS in international business with a Spanish minor from Pepperdine University. He resides in San Francisco with his wife and two daughters.
