Carl Bergenhem is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in safety engineering and research. Currently acting as a Senior Safety Engineer and Researcher at Qamcom Research and Technology since September 2012, Carl focuses on Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and Functional Safety, particularly in V2X communication. Since August 2021, Carl has also held the position of Senior Functional Safety Engineer at Volvo Group Truck Technology, driving functional safety initiatives and supporting product development. As a member of the Swedish Institute for Standards, Carl contributes to ISO 26262 standardization efforts. Previous roles include research at SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden, PhD studies, and consultancy in datacom systems. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Fault Tolerant Systems from Chalmers University of Technology and multiple degrees from Halmstad University.
