Christopher Bentley has a diverse work experience in the field of quantum technology and artificial intelligence. Christopher has worked at Q-CTRL as a Lead Solution Engineer, where they help partners optimize quantum technology and conducts research and development for quantum infrastructure software. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Quantum Control Engineer at Q-CTRL. Christopher also worked at CSIRO's Data61 as a Research Team Leader and Research Scientist, focusing on AI in transport. Bentley further gained experience as a Guest Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems, where they collaborated internationally and conducted research on open quantum systems and complex systems. Additionally, they worked at The Australian National University as a Research Officer, integrating theoretical quantum computing research with experimental hardware groups, and as a Course Tutor.
Christopher Bentley received their Bachelor of Philosophy (PhB Honours) degree in Physics and Mathematics from The Australian National University in 2011. Christopher pursued further education at the same university and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics in 2016.
