Sondra Neale Smyrnios has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and clinical research industry. Sondra currently holds the position of Senior Vice President, Head of Global Clinical Operations at Pyxis Oncology since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Alkermes, where they served as Senior Vice President, Clinical Development Operations from July 2019. Sondra also served as Vice President, Clinical Operations at Alkermes from December 2009 to January 2022. Sondra was the Chief Founding Member of Chief, a company they joined in September 2020. Previous experience includes roles such as Sr. VP Clinical Operations at Omnicomm Systems Inc from February 2008 to January 2010, Chief Executive Officer at Evia Clinical Services from June 2007 to February 2008, Executive Director, Clinical Operations at Kos Pharmaceuticals from 2004 to 2007, and Director, Clinical Research at sanofi-aventis from 1999 to 2004.

Sondra Neale Smyrnios holds a Master of Science degree in Teratology and Biology from McGill University, which they obtained from 1991 to 1993. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Concordia University from 1987 to 1991. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in "Unlocking the Potential of Women" from McKinsey & Company in July 2020.
