Giacomo Daniel Di Silvestro has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Giacomo Daniel started their career at CAE as a Mechanical/Systems Engineer, where they were involved in data analysis, engineering design, and systems integration for commercial and military aircraft. Giacomo Daniel then moved to Enerquin Air, where they served as a Sales Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Project Engineer, responsible for developing the sales territory and managing multi-million-dollar projects.
After that, Di Silvestro joined Resolute Forest Products as a Financial Analyst/Operational Auditor, where they contributed to the preparation of capital expenditure budgets. Giacomo Daniel later worked at National Bank Financial as an Equity Research/Financial Analyst, specializing in the paper and forestry products industry, conducting financial analysis and interacting with institutional clients.
Di Silvestro then transitioned to the furniture industry, working at Storkcraft as a Vice-President of Business Development and Operations. There, they developed an in-house production management program and conducted value-added production studies to improve operational efficiencies. Following that, they joined Sefina Industries Ltd as a Senior Director of Business Development and Operations, successfully expanding operations and managing international projects.
Prior to their current role, Di Silvestro worked at Massella Management Group as a Principal/Management Consultant, providing production planning strategies for manufacturing start-ups and performing business development assignments.
Currently, they hold the position of Director of Territory Sales at Pyrotek, responsible for maintaining and exceeding sales budgets across Europe, MENA, UK, and South Africa, while implementing a global sales approach for the iron and steel industries.
Giacomo Daniel Di Silvestro has a diverse educational background in engineering and business. Giacomo Daniel is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Materials Engineering, specializing in Process Metallurgy at McGill University, a program they have been pursuing since 2017. Prior to this, Giacomo earned an MBA in Finance & International Business from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University, which they completed between 1993 and 1996. Giacomo Daniel also holds a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on Thermo Fluid and Propulsion / Aerospace, from Concordia University, which they obtained between 1982 and 1986. In addition to their academic achievements, Giacomo has earned certifications as an Associate Member of AIST (Association for Iron & Steel Technology) in 2010 and as a Professional Engineer from the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec in 1989.
