Gabriella MacDougall has a diverse work experience in various scientific and research roles. Gabriella is currently working as a Senior Scientist at PYC Therapeutics since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Scientist I at the same company from April 2021. In 2021, they also held the position of Associate Research Fellow at The University of Western Australia.

In 2020, Gabriella MacDougall served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Duke University School of Medicine. From 2019 to 2020, they were the ANS University of Notre Dame Student Representative at the Australian Neuroscience Society.

Gabriella's earlier experiences include working as a Practicum Student at Vetpath Laboratory Services in 2014 and completing their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) at the Perron Institute for Neurological and Translational Science from February 2016 to December 2019.

Gabriella MacDougall has a solid educational background in the field of biomedical science and neurobiology. Gabriella began their education at Perth College Anglican Girls' School, where they completed their high school education from 2007 to 2011.

Gabriella then pursued a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (BBioMed) degree at The University of Notre Dame Australia from 2012 to 2015. After completing their undergraduate studies, they continued their academic journey at the same university and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Science from 2016 to 2019.

Following their Ph.D., Gabriella engaged in further research and academic pursuits by joining Duke University as a Postdoctoral Associate from 2020 to 2021. Gabriella focused their research on Neurobiology and Neurosciences during their time at Duke University.

Additionally, Gabriella MacDougall has also obtained two additional certifications. Gabriella completed the "R Programming" certification from The Johns Hopkins University in May 2023, as well as "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" certification, obtained from the same institution in the same month and year.
