Paulien van Hessen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in healthcare governance and management. Currently serving as a member of the Raad van Bestuur at Stichting Amsterdamse Gezondheidscentra and as a member of the Raad van Toezicht at Zorgcentra Meerlanden since December 2018, Paulien has been actively involved in overseeing various healthcare initiatives. Additionally, Paulien holds the position of secretary of the core group Network Care within the PvdA since October 2014 and serves as chair of the board for Vrijzinnige Geloofsgemeenschap Hilversum at De Kapel since July 2020. Paulien's advisory and mentoring skills are demonstrated through work with Strategie & Zorg and previous leadership roles, including chairing the Raad van Toezicht at STBN and serving on the Raad van Commissarissen at Mediis. An educational background in medicine includes a degree in Geneeskunde from Utrecht University and further training in arts voor maatschappij en gezondheid at NIPG-TNO.
