Jason Hill has a diverse background in engineering roles related to motorsport and automotive design. Jason currently holds the position of Chief Engineer - Design & Development at PurpleSector and McLaren Racing since March 2022. Before that, they were the Technical Director at Lunaz Design from January 2021 to January 2022. Prior to their current roles, Jason worked at Prodrive Motorsport as the Head of New Engine Programmes from July 2014 to January 2021, and as the Chief Engineer - Engines from September 2008 to July 2014. Jason also served as the Chief Engineer - Race Engine at Prodrive Motorsport from February 2000 to September 2008. Jason's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Development Engineer at Arrows F1 Engines from February 1999 to February 2000, and as a Development Engineer at Cosworth Racing from 1995 to 1999.

Jason Hill attended the University of Leeds from 1992 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
