Alec Wagner is a Program Manager for Design and Innovation at the University of Hawai‘i System, focusing on strategies to advance community-based design practice and social innovation within the Office of Indigenous Knowledge and Innovation. As a Founding Partner of FoundHer, Alec has developed an accelerator program for Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, and Asian American women entrepreneurs. Previous roles include Strategic Projects Lead and Director of Innovation at the Purple Maiʻa Foundation, Design Researcher at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and a Fellow at Google Empathy Lab. Alec holds a Master of Design Studies from Harvard University and a Certificate in Venture Capital from the University of California, Berkeley.
