Nicholas Topping

Vice President, Community Solar at PureSky Energy

Nicholas Topping has a diverse work experience in the renewable energy and real estate sectors. Nicholas started their career as a Project Manager at Ace Kitchen from 2005 to 2008. Nicholas then worked at Whole Foods Market as a Sales Manager from 2007 to 2014, where they focused on retail execution and customer service. In 2014, they joined SolarCity as a Field Energy Consultant and later became a Regional Sales Manager, leading successful sales teams in the Denver area and the Bay Area.

In 2016, Nicholas joined Tesla as a Regional Sales Director, where they significantly grew the sales team and achieved monthly sales of over $10MM. Nicholas also worked at Amp Energy as a Director of US Community Solar from 2020 to 2023, contributing to the development of renewable energy infrastructure assets. Currently, they are serving as a Senior Director of Community Solar at PureSky Energy, leading the company's efforts in building, owning, and operating community solar farms across the US, with a focus on partnership and fighting climate change.

Additionally, Nicholas has experience in the real estate industry. Nicholas founded Dream Bigger Investments in 2018, providing services in residential real estate investment and management. Prior to that, they worked at HomeSmart International as a Real Estate Broker Associate, specializing in sales and purchases, market analysis, and contract negotiations.

Nicholas Topping has a Bachelor of Science degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver, with a focus on Aviation Management, Music Theory, and Finance. Nicholas has also completed coursework in Appraisal Practice and Procedures at Kaplan Professional Schools. Additionally, Nicholas holds certifications as a Certified Negotiation Expert from The Real Estate Negotiation Institute and has a Colorado Real Estate License from Arapahoe Community College.
