Brandon Day

Research Scientist at Pure Lithium

Brandon Day has a long and varied work experience. Brandon began in 2014 as a Lab Research and Fiber Optic Survey employee at the University of Utah. In 2015, they were a Co-Op Engineer at Ceramatec, where they designed and created an automated system to collect mass flow and temperature readings for ceramic heat exchange membranes. In 2017, they were a Student Intern at Idaho National Labs, where they performed viscosity, conductivity, and chloride level testing of ionic liquids. From 2018 to 2019, they were a Doctoral Student at the University of Idaho, where they evaluated energy storage capabilities of different polymorphs of Bi2O3 that was electrodeposited on various substrates and mentored and trained undergraduate students in electrochemical process and lab procedures. In 2021, they became Self Employed as a Research & Development specialist in Renewable Energy, Energy Storage, and Electrochemisty. Currently, they are a Research Scientist at Pure Lithium Corporation.

Brandon Day attended the University of Utah from 2010 to 2016, earning a Bachelor's degree in Material Science and Engineering. Brandon then attended the University of Idaho from 2018 to 2021, earning a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering.
