Seung-Hyun Han (Sue)

Seung-hyun (Sue) Han has a diverse work experience in the field of quality assurance and research in the food industry. Seung-hyun (Sue) started their career at Daesang Corporation in 2001 as a Quality Assurance Lab Technician. Seung-hyun (Sue) then worked at KIPF from 2004 to 2007 as a Research and Development Technologist. In 2011, they joined the Canadian Research Institute for Food Safety (CRIFS) as a Graduate Research Assistant. From 2013 to 2015, they worked at CLS Catering Services Ltd as a Production Administrator and later became a Quality Assurance Supervisor from 2015 to 2018. Currently, they are a Director of Corporate QA at Pulmuone Foods USA, Inc., where they previously held the positions of Sr. QA Manager and Q.A Manager.

Seung-hyun (Sue) Han has a solid educational background in the field of food science and food safety. Seung-hyun (Sue) holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Food Safety & Quality Assurance from the University of Guelph. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Functional Food & Nutraceuticals Management, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Food Science Technology & Engineering, both from Chung-Ang University.

In addition to their academic degrees, Han has obtained various certifications related to food safety and quality management. Seung-hyun (Sue) is an ISO/FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management System auditor/Lead auditor, certified by SGS. Seung-hyun (Sue) has also completed the FSMA PCQI certification and the SQF Implementing certification, both from SGS. Furthermore, Han holds the BRC Third-Party Auditor certification from NSF-GFTC. In 2013, they attained a Certificate in Life Science Enterprise and certifications in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) from the University of Toronto. Seung-hyun (Sue) also completed a Certification in Graduate Student Teaching Development Program from the University of Guelph.

Han has participated in various training programs and conferences throughout their education and career. In 2012, they attended the International Conference Bio & Food Electrotechnologies. Seung-hyun (Sue) has also received training in WHMIS, Biosafety, Biosecurity, and Risk from the University of Guelph. Additionally, Han obtained a Food Processing Engineer certification from the Human Resources Development Service of Korea in 2001.
