Porter Anderson is a seasoned professional in the field of publishing and media, currently serving as Editor-in-Chief at Publishing Perspectives since January 2016. As the founder of Porter Anderson Media, LLC, since July 2009, Porter Anderson offers consultancy services related to trade shows and events in international book publishing. Prior to this, Porter co-founded and edited The Hot Sheet, a prominent subscription newsletter for authors, and held various editorial roles at Thought Catalog and The Bookseller, focusing on digital publishing and arts criticism. Experience also includes leadership positions at CNN, where Porter served as Senior Producer and Chief Editor, as well as creative roles at the United Nations World Food Programme and INDEX: Design to Improve Life®. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree from William & Mary, an MFA from Florida State University, and a fellowship in Arts Criticism from the National Critics Institute.
