Ciara Whelan is an experienced educator with a strong background in elementary education and teaching. Currently serving as a 4th Grade Teacher at The École since August 2022, Whelan has a diverse teaching history that includes roles as a 4th Grade ICT Teacher and 2nd Grade ICT Teacher at Public Preparatory Network from August 2016 to present, as well as a Year 3 Teacher at OVERNEWTON ANGLICAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE LIMITED from January 2021 to June 2021. Previous experience includes teaching positions at Achievement First and student teaching roles at Poughkeepsie City School District and Hyde Park Central School District. Whelan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Teaching and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Special/General Education (Grades 1-6) from Marist College, completed between 2011 and 2014.
