Jolien Quispel is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in international law, humanitarian law, and legal research. Currently serving as a Senior Research Associate and Counsel at the Public International Law & Policy Group since June 2013, Jolien also undertakes freelance translation for the British Red Cross on a project concerning Customary International Humanitarian Law. Previous roles include Assistant Practice Manager at Visa Law Immigration Lawyers, Research Fellow for International Humanitarian Law at the British Red Cross, and various positions in prestigious legal institutions such as the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and the International Criminal Court. Educational achievements include an LL.M. in International Human Rights and Criminal Justice from Utrecht University, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from Leo Cussen Centre for Law, and dual Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Melbourne.
