Carrie Hicks is a research associate at Denver Public Health, focusing on the Infectious Disease Clinic since January 2021. Prior to this position, Carrie worked as an undergraduate research assistant at the Knoebel Institute for Healthy Aging, where responsibilities included performing cell culture, isolating RNA, generating transcriptome data, and assisting in manuscript preparation. Carrie also served as a poll worker for the Denver Elections Division, displaying strong interpersonal skills while supporting over 1,000 voters. Additional experiences include participation as an Amgen Scholar at Caltech, research positions in various laboratories, and internships in political campaigns and legal offices. Carrie holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Denver.
