Christina M. Gonzalez is an experienced legal professional specializing in homelessness prevention and tenant rights. Currently serving as Senior Staff Attorney for the Homelessness Prevention Law Project at Public Counsel since June 2020, Christina provides critical services including tenant counseling and eviction defense. Prior experience includes roles as Staff Counsel and Legal Director at the Council on Foundations, overseeing the National Standards program for U.S. community foundations, and working as a Trial Attorney and Litigation Attorney at the Eviction Defense Network, where legal representation was provided to low-income tenants. An alumnus of the Peoples College of Law, Christina holds a Juris Doctor degree, and also earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Women's Studies from San Diego State University.
