Somphone Sengsavang has several years of experience in the financial industry, starting in 2000 as an INGENIEUR DEVELOPPEUR en JAVA, TRANSACT-SQL at Line Data Services. Somphone then worked as a MOA FRONT OFFICE at BNP Paribas Asset Management from June 2004 to April 2006. After that, they were a CHEF DE PROJET MOA at ARPSON Progiciel des marchés financiers from April 2006 to July 2012. From September 2011 to September 2012, they worked as a RISK Consultant at SunGard Financial Systems. Later, they joined Banque de France as Responsable du Pole MCO d'une application Front to Back Office et Comptabilité in September 2012 until September 2016. Currently, Somphone Sengsavang is working as a Business Analyst at PSP Investments, starting from October 2016.

Somphone Sengsavang attended Université Panthéon Assas (Paris II) from 1998 to 1999, where they pursued a DEA in Eco Mathématiques et Econométrie. Prior to that, from 1995 to 1998, Somphone studied at the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, completing a Maîtrise et Licence d' Econométrie. Their education journey started at Université Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) from 1993 to 1995, where they obtained a DEUG in Mathématiques Appliquées et Sciences Sociales.
