Marie-Joëlle Hamelin began their work experience in 2005 at Radio-Canada as a sports journalist and weather presenter until 2007. From 2007 to 2018, they worked at Desjardins in various roles including operational efficiency advisor, communication advisor, director of purchasing, and director of purchasing and payments. Since 2018, they have been working at Investissements PSP as a senior manager of accounts payable, purchasing, and travel, and currently holds the position of director of vendor metrics, operational support and shared services.
Marie-Joëlle Hamelin has a diverse education history. In 1997-1998, they pursued a certificate in scenarisation cinematographique from UQAM. Marie-Joëlle continued their education by completing a certificate in Animation télé et radio from Promedia in 1999. Later, from 2008 to 2011, Marie-Joëlle Hamelin attended UQAM again, this time to achieve another certificate in communication organisationnelle. Their education journey continued as they enrolled in Université de Montréal - HEC Montréal, where they obtained a certificat in Organizational Leadership from 2013 to 2015.
