Brandon Pence started working at ESI/FME Structural Engineers in March 2018 as an intern. Brandon completed a structural design intern program, engineered structural analysis and load applications for beams and retaining walls, and utilized AutoCAD to create structural details and plans. In April 2019, they joined Psomas as a Civil Design Engineer. At Psomas, their role is ongoing and no end date is provided. Prior to ESI/FME Structural Engineers, Brandon worked at Emerald Events from April 2013 to May 2018 as a Lead Manager. Brandon'sresponsibilities included managing and coordinating the set-up, running, and take-down of large-scale events on a weekly basis, as well as training new employees on company policies and procedures.

Brandon Pence earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from UC Irvine, where they studied from 2012 to 2017. In addition to their degree, they obtained the certification of Engineer in Training from NCEES in May 2018, and later became an Envision Sustainability Professional through the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure in September 2020.
