Timothy Thompson's work experience begins in 2010 when they worked as a Team Leader at Cavalier Day Camp at the University of Virginia. Timothy then became a Big Brother for the Men's Leadership Project at the Maxine Platzer Lynn Women's Center at the University of Virginia in 2009. From 2011 to 2013, Timothy worked as a Burberry Specialist at Bloomingdale's, achieving sales success and earning awards. Timothy then took on various roles in the fashion industry, including Senior International Sales Manager at DL1961 Premium Denim and Account Executive at Amanda Uprichard. In 2017, Timothy became an Associate Sales Director at Vita Fede before transitioning to an Account Manager at Sequin LLC in 2018. In 2019, they served as an Account Executive at Amanda Uprichard, responsible for handling major and specialty business. Timothy then transitioned into the education field, starting as a Student Teacher at PS 166 The Richard Rodgers School of Arts & Technology in 2021. Timothy continued their teaching career at PS 6 The Lillie Devereaux Blake School, where they held roles as an Associate Teacher, Long Term Substitute Teacher, and Head Teacher.
Timothy Thompson obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studies of Women and Gender, with a minor in Philosophy, from the University of Virginia in the years 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at First Colonial High School, where they specialized in the Legal Studies Academy from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, Timothy attended the Governor's School for the Arts from 2002 to 2006, focusing on Theater. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Education (MSED) in Early Childhood Education and Teaching at Hunter College, which they began in 2021 and will complete by 2023.
