Emily Hyon is an experienced educator currently serving as an Associate Teacher at PS 6 The Lillie Devereaux Blake School, where responsibilities include instructing students in academics such as Reading, Writing, and Mathematics and providing support in phonemic awareness. Prior to this role, Emily served as a Camp Counselor at The 14th St Y, implementing team-building and arts activities, and as a Student Teacher at The Richard Rogers School of the Arts & Technology, where Emily created lesson plans for gifted students. Other relevant experiences include being an After-School Group Leader at the Vanderbilt YMCA, a Long Term Substitute Teacher at Tag Young Scholars School, and an Intern at AHRC New York City. Emily holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Services from Long Island University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education at Hunter College.
