Tim Lynch is a Principal t at Prysm Capital where he provides growth capital to disruptive management teams across the technology, consumer, and healthcare markets. Investing across stages, Tim is passionate about partnering with teams to help radically reshape their industries and accelerate the adoption of innovative products and services globally.
Prior to Prysm, Tim spent two years as an Associate at Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital, a private equity platform targeting late-stage growth investments in technology, healthcare, consumer, and other high-growth sectors. While there, Tim partnered with visionary management teams across the growth equity spectrum in industries such as enterprise software, internet marketplaces, medical devices, travel technology, and organic baby food.
Tim began his career at BlackRock Private Equity Partners, where he spent three years as an Analyst and Associate. While at PEP, Tim helped support the firm’s private equity investments across industries including travel services, enterprise software, medical services, and energy.
Tim earned a BS degree, summa cum laude, from Fordham University and an MBA degree from Columbia Business School, with honors. During his time at CBS, he interned with an early-stage venture capital fund in NYC and also spent a summer on the finance team of IBM during a period when IBM completed its acquisition of Red Hat. Tim is originally from upstate New York and has also lived in Princeton, Austin, and San Francisco. He currently resides with his wife and daughter in New York City where they stay busy caring for their dog, Daphne. He enjoys spending time running in Central Park, ski trips out West, and exploring new countries and foods.
