Terry Douglass

Founder, Executive Chairman & CEO at Provision Healthcare

Terry Douglass is the Founder, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Chief Executive Officer of Provision Healthcare, LLC. He is also the Chairman of the Provision CARES Proton Therapy Center Knoxville, Provision Trust, Inc., Provision Foundation, Inc., and Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ProNova Solutions, LLC.

Dr. Douglass was Founder and served as the Chairman of the Board of CTI Molecular Imaging, Inc., a public company that specialized in the development, production and distribution of products and services for the medical diagnostic imaging market, from 1983 to 2005 when it was acquired by Siemens at a market capitalization of $1 billion. He also served as President and CEO of CTI Molecular Imaging from its formation in 1983 until 2003. During this tenure, Dr. Douglass played an integral role in the development and commercialization of positron emission tomography (PET) and its development globally, including PET cyclotron technology that now plays a significant role in proton therapy. He was also instrumental in the development of FDA approval for PET and Medicare reimbursement for PET services.

From 1968 to 1983, Dr. Douglass was employed at EG&G Ortec as a design engineer, marketing manager, and division manager and served as CEO and President during the last three years at EG&G Ortec.

Dr. Douglass is currently leading the development of the world-class comprehensive cancer care program for Provision Healthcare at Dowell Springs in Knoxville, Tenn. Dr. Douglass has served or is serving on other boards in addition to the Provision Boards and CTI Boards including the Whitestone Group, Computational Systems, Inc., EPRI, Ionogen, LLC, YMCA, Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, Hope Resource Center, Young Life, Vanderbilt Medical Advisory Board, and the UT Medical Center Biomedical Imaging Foundation.

Dr. Douglass graduated with Bachelor of Science, Mastersā€™ of Science, and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
