Molly Lavik has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Molly currently works at PORTL Inc. as part of the business development team, focusing on introducing the HOLOPORTL, a single passenger HOLOPORTATION machine. Prior to this, they served as the executive producer for the #AIShowBiz Summit 4.0.
In 2002, Molly founded Mentor InSight, a consulting firm aimed at assisting entrepreneurs with their new venture visions. Molly has also worked in business development for the Arch Mission Foundation, starting in 2017.
From 2009 to 2017, Molly held the position of executive director at the Sustainable Business Council, a non-profit organization that provides networking, mentoring, and educational forums to sustainable business professionals in Southern California.
Molly has also taught at various universities, including the Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business and Management, where they were an adjunct professor from 2015 to 2016. Molly was also a professor at Vatel International Business School, Hotel and Tourism Management, in Los Angeles from 2008 to 2014.
Molly's involvement with Pepperdine University started in 2001, where they served as a practitioner faculty of marketing and played a crucial role in developing the program and curriculum for the entrepreneurship program. Molly also worked as a public relations consultant for the university during this time.
Prior to their work with Pepperdine University, Molly worked as the director of corporate development for HyperCD from 2000 to 2001. Molly also served as the executive director for the Los Angeles New Media Roundtable (LAwNMoweR) from 1997 to 2000.
Molly Lavik completed their Bachelor's of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Purdue University, where they studied from 1981 to 1985. Later, they pursued a Masters of Science degree in Technology Management at Pepperdine University, attending from 1998 to 2000.
