Andrew Maynard

Chief Financial Officer at Protium Green Solutions

Andrew Maynard has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Andrew started their career as a Research Assistant at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2009. In 2013, they worked as an Accountant for the London Borough of Lambeth, where they were responsible for writing reports on capital investment programs and advising senior managers on capital funding bids.

From 2014 to 2016, Maynard held the position of Lead Accountant-Estates at the University of the Arts London. Here, they managed the financial aspects of a 5-year, £500 million Major Projects program, including assessing affordability, creating financial models, and developing effective relationships with external partners.

Maynard then transitioned to the Cabinet Office in 2016, serving as the Head of Agency Accounting and later as a Finance Business Partner. In these roles, they played a key role in improving financial management within the Cabinet Office and provided strategic and tactical advice for business cases and decision-making processes.

In 2017, Maynard joined the Government Property Agency as a Group Financial Controller. Here, they developed finance strategies, implemented accounting policies and financial systems, managed financial reporting, and led a team of 9 people.

From 2019 to 2022, Maynard served as the Head of Finance and Risk at UK Sport. In this role, they were responsible for the finance function, including business partnering, financial accounting, and financial planning. Andrew also oversaw risk management and ensured effective mitigation strategies.

In 2022, Maynard took on the role of Non-Executive Director at the Great Britain Boccia Federation, providing guidance and support to the organization.

Currently, Maynard is working at Protium as the Financial Controller, and starting from 2023 they will assume the position of Chief Financial Officer.

Andrew Maynard obtained a Professional Qualification in Accounting from CIPFA from 2010 to 2013. It is not specified where or when they obtained the additional certification in CIPFA.
