Kev Dhaliwal serves as the Chief Scientific Officer and Chief Medical Officer at Prothea Technologies, focusing on innovative technologies for lung disease care. In academia, Kev holds multiple prominent roles at The University of Edinburgh, including Interim Director of the Edinburgh Futures Institute, Co-Director of the Baillie Gifford Pandemic Science Hub, and Director of the Translational Healthcare Technologies Group and Healthcare Technology Accelerator Facility. With a strong background in molecular imaging, respiratory medicine, and interventional pulmonology, Kev also co-founded Edinburgh Molecular Imaging Ltd and serves as a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine at NHS Lothian. Kev holds a PhD in Inflammation and Imaging Technology and an MBBS from the University of Edinburgh, along with a BSc in Medical Microbiology and Bacteriology. Additionally, Kev is a Non-Executive Board Member at CodeBase and has led the EPSRC Proteus Interdisciplinary Hub, driving advancements in biophotonics technology for respiratory medicine.
