Kyis Essmaeel is a seasoned professional in computer vision and machine learning, currently employed at Protex AI since November 2022. Previous roles include Data Scientist and Computer Vision Engineer at Altada Technology Solutions from March 2021 to November 2022, and Computer Scientist at mgm technology partners GmbH from December 2016 to January 2020. Kyis has also served as a Temporary Attached Lecturer and Researcher at Université de Bourgogne between September 2013 and August 2016, alongside pursuing a PhD at the same institution from 2012 to 2015. Prior experience includes a PhD position at ICAR-CNR and internships focusing on automatic table detection at Xerox Research Centre Europe and feature optimization at Grenoble Informatics Laboratory. Educational qualifications include a diploma in engineering from Damascus University, and master’s degrees from Université Joseph Fourier and Pierre Mendés-France University.
