Emily Mendez is an accomplished professional with significant experience in development and outreach roles. Currently serving as Director of Development at Proteus, Inc. since April 2022, Emily has previously held the position of Executive Director at Dental Connections from August 2017 to January 2022, where other roles included Development Coordinator and Bilingual Care Coordinator. Prior experience at EveryStep from June 2013 to August 2017 featured positions such as 1st Five Bilingual Family Outreach Specialist and Care for Kids Bilingual Family Support Specialist. Earlier roles also include serving as the Center for Life Counseling Program Secretary at Catholic Charities Diocese of Des Moines and as a Preschool & Kindergarten Teacher at AlRazi Academy. Emily holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spanish Language and Literature and Sociology from Central College, awarded between 2006 and 2010.
